Moisture Meters. At SERVPRO, we deploy moisture-detection devices to “see” moisture that may be hiding in the wall, under the floor or elsewhere. A hygrometer can detect humidity in a room, leading us to make a deeper investigation. Infrared devices point our technicians toward problem areas using the principle that wet materials tend to be cooler than dry ones.

Drying Out. For removing water, SERVPRO uses a variety of drying-out equipment, including industrial-grade fans and dehumidifiers. The speedy air movement handily removes moisture from the air and pulls it from substances, protecting them before they’re overly damaged.

Clean Chemistry

When it comes to removing odors—and the microbes and other substances that cause them—SERVPRO again invests in technology that’s proven effective.

First, machines remove airborne contaminants such as mold spores or particulate matter from smoke. Next, we apply OSHA-approved products to destroy germs and contaminants. Our products are EPA-certified against harmful bacteria, fungi, molds and—most recently—COVID-19.
